St Catherine farmer found with head wound dies hours later
The death of a Portmore man is under investigation after he was found badly injured along a St Catherine roadway in the early hours of Monday morning and later died at hospital.
Dead is 50-year-old Steve Manning, otherwise called 'Cyclops', of Newlands in Portmore, St Catherine.
Reports are that about 1:00 a.m. on February 9, residents spotted the injured man lying along Agusta Drive in Independence City and alerted the police.
When officers arrived, Manning was reportedly found unresponsive with a wound to the head.
He was rushed to the Spanish Town General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Detectives assigned to the St Catherine South Police Division have since launched a probe into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Investigators from the Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch are working to determine how Manning received the fatal injury.
