Senior citizen killed in hit-and-run in St Catherine

The St Catherine South police have launched a manhunt for the driver of a motor vehicle that killed a senior citizen in Old Harbour last night.

The deceased has been identified as Amutual Smith, 75, of Red Ground District, Old Harbour, St Catherine.

Reports are that around 9:00 p.m. on November 10, 2025, Smith was walking along West Street in Old Harbour when she was struck by a car that did not stop after the collision.

She sustained severe injuries and was rushed to May Pen Hospital in Clarendon, where she was pronounced dead.

The Old Harbour Traffic Department is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
